Gogglebox spoilers follow.

Tonight's (September 20) instalment of Gogglebox saw the cast hilariously react to a wedding prank on Married at First Sight UK.

During the latest series of the hit dating experiment, we were introduced to 28-year-old mechanic Kieran, who was getting ready to marry 31-year-old dog walker Kristina.

While waiting at the altar for his bride, Kieran slipped a fake set of teeth into his mouth, in an attempt to test his future wife's sense of humour.

The armchair critics were quick to point out their concerns with Kieran's plan, with Pete Sandiford saying: "Don't do it. Immediately, just don't bother."

"If it could go either way, then don't do it because, at the end of the day, you don't know this person, and it's your wedding," his sister Sophie added.

Julie Malone shared the same hesitations over the prank, saying: "Not at your wedding, mate," while Jenny Newby revealed she "loved" Kieran's sense of humour.

A confused Kristina made her way down the aisle, with Kieran keeping up the ruse for a few more seconds to preserve the suspense. When he eventually removed the teeth, Kristina howled with laughter.

"She liked it, and it's broken the ice," Giles Wood said, before Raza Siddiqui noted: "It worked, that gambit paid off, that was risky."

Ellie Warner shared that she was "invested" in the new couple, adding: "If this goes to sh*t, I'm going to be fuming. It's gotta last."

The show's viewers were quick to share their reactions to the prank on X (formerly Twitter), with one writing: "Well, he's got a sense of humour."

"False teeth eh," another added, while a third viewer commented: "Brilliant," alongside a group of laughing emojis.

Married at First Sight UK returned this week, with the first six couples meeting at the altar. While Kieran and Kristina's connection has deepened, it hasn't been plain sailing for all the newlyweds.

Tonight's episode of Gogglebox also saw the professional TV-watchers react to the latest episode of Celebrity Race Across the World, Selling Sunset and Joe Cole's new BBC mystery thriller Nightsleeper.

Gogglebox airs and streams on Channel 4.
