Joyce Marie Tate Brannam

Joyce Marie Tate Brannam, 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church, Southside Womens Club, and the Southside Garden Club. Mrs. Brannam volunteered as a candy striper at Baptist Medical Center. She enjoyed being in the outdoors whether it be playing tennis, golfing, or being at the lake house. One of her greatest things to do was to travel, which she and her husband, Edward did extensively. She is preceded in death by her brothers L. Hayes Tate and his wife Genelle, Charles W. Tate (AnnieLee), Wilson T. Tate; sisters Kathleen Bartlett (Vern), Ophelia Ogier (Fred), and LoOlive Nolan (Wallace. She is survived by her loving husband Edward Jackson Brannam; her sons, Ron Brannam (Trish) and Scot Brannam; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from five o clock until seven o clock in the evening on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at The Oaklawn Chapel. Funeral services will be held at ten o clock in the morning on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Lakewood United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Farman officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
