What is customer feedback analysis?
Customer feedback analysis is the process of collecting, categorizing, and interpreting feedback from customers to identify trends, improve products, and enhance customer experience. This can be done using manual methods or automated tools with AI and sentiment analysis.
Customer feedback can be analyzed using text analyticssentiment analysis, and categorization techniques. Other methods include keyword extraction, topic modeling, and trend identification using specialized feedback analysis tools.

When looking at customer feedback metrics, market researchers have traditionally focused on Net Promoter Score (NPS) and Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT). However, with so much data readily available and advancements in analysis technology, metrics like Customer Effort Score (CES) and sentiment analysis have grown in popularity.

NPS (Net Promoter Score) measures customer loyalty by asking: “How likely is it you would recommend [X] to a friend or colleague?” It is then scored by subtracting the percentage of Detractors (those that answered with a six or lower) from the percentage of Promoters (those that gave a nine or ten).

CSAT (Customer Satisfaction Score) measures immediate satisfaction with a product or service. It asks, “How satisfied are you with [X]? Answers then range from one to five.
