Thomas & Melissa: Cooling Off with a Generator
Thomas and Melissa Baity from Home on the Hitch faced the challenge of powering both of their air conditioners using a 3000-watt Champion inverter generator. Traditional solutions required complex installations or hiring a professionalโneither of which appealed to this RVing couple.
The SoftStartUpโข allowed their generator to handle the heavy startup demands of two air conditioners effortlessly, without overloading or tripping breakers. Thomas described it as โa great optionโ for RVers seeking an easy, portable way to manage A/C startup power without the need for permanent modifications.
Adrian & Ruth: Moochdocking Made Cool
Adrian and Ruth from REAL LIFE were excited to find an A/C power fix that worked wherever their RV adventures took them. Thanks to the SoftStartUpโข, they could run two air conditioners on a 30-amp power pedestal or even power one air conditioner on a standard 120V household outlet while moochdocking at friendsโ and familyโs homes.
No climbing on the roof, no complicated installationsโjust plug-and-play simplicity.

Why is it not to be used for an RV with an automatic transfer switch?
You need to offer a security system to go with the soft start so people donโt just steal it.
This product is NOT to be used in any motorhome with an Automatic Transfer Switch.
This unit is too pricey for many RV owners. I will continue to use my Surge Protector instead. It works great. Never any problems as this story have written about. We have driven to Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada in the early summer and in thee late summer time. Heat up to and over 110 degrees in the day. Only one A/C on our roof on our 1997 Fleetwood Southwind Storm.
