Robbie Williams has spoken of his love for Ireland as he announced his Croke Park gig.
The music legend will play Dublin on August 23 as part of his "Robbie Williams Live 2025". Robbie revealed his favourite things about his Irish fans at a press conference earlier today. He said: "The heart, the blood, the history, the wildness, the unique spirit that the souls here have.
"All wild. All performers. Everybody here is a comedian. Everybody here has personality. That’s something I’ve just realised - everybody here has personality. It’s not the same in other countries."
Robbie said that coming to Ireland felt like "coming home". He explained: "I grew up in England, but I’ve always felt Irish. In a way, it’s always a coming home. There’s something special about the audience here.
"There is a heart that beats and an energy that is created. It's unique. There are other countries and other audiences that do incredible things.
"Here, it's unique to the heart of the country, the energy that is created and the energy that I get back."
Last week it was announced that Robbie’s forthcoming musical biopic ‘Better Man’ soundtrack will be released digitally on December 27 with a physical release to follow.
Tickets for the Croke Park show are priced from €77.25 to €152.25, subject to Ticketmaster service charge and go on general sale this Friday, November 15 at 10am via Ticketmaster.ie.
