Mark “Wayne” Klippert was born February 17, 1966 in El Dorado, AR to Robert and Wanda Klippert. He passed away November 4, 2022. Wayne is survived by his wife, Sharon, sons, Christopher and Matthew, and brothers, Mike, Thomas, and Keith. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Philip and Larry.
Wayne’s parents were told that he would not live to age 18 due to a range of congenital heart defects. They started praying along with their church family and he defied the odds. Wayne’s sense of humor and caring nature shined in everything he did, but he was in his element as a church sound man, children’s minister, and playing characters for VBS.
For many years, Wayne participated as a standardized patient with UAMS to give students a chance to hear and see the way his heart functioned. He chose to donate his body for further examination by medical students through the Genesis Legacy Foundation. A celebration of life is being planned.
