A244 Walton Bridge/Walton on Thames, Surrey

The new bridge was created to replace two existing temporary bridges, across the River Thames. This was the first bridge to be built over the River Thames for 20 years

EMJ designed and manufactured various length Type 11 & 12 Panels ranging from 2615mm to 3474mm in length also at various widths to suit the design requirements of the bridge.

EMJ designed, detailed, manufactured and delivered all the GRP Permadec panels to site in 6 weeks.

  • EMJ Permadec panels are used as a safe working platform
  • Deck area was 1757m2
  • Variations in panel lengths and widths were produced to accommodate the designs
  • There was minimized site cutting
