Marsuret: Crafting World-Class Prosecco Since 1936
With deep roots in the Valdobbiadene hills, Marsuret—affectionately known as the Marsura family—has been producing exceptional wine since 1936, when Agostino Marsura founded the winery. Dedicated to creating world-class Prosecco and Valdobbiadene DOCG Superiore, the Marsura family’s passion for their vineyards has been passed down through generations. Today, Giovanni, Valter, and Ermes lead the company, blending tradition with fresh ideas, innovation, and boundless enthusiasm.
Vineyard Location
Marsuret’s 111 acres (45 hectares) of vineyards are scattered across the most prestigious areas of the Valdobbiadene DOCG zone, including Cartizze, Col San Martino, Guia, Premaor, Rolle, Zuel, and Le Serre. Each location benefits from unique exposure, microclimate, and soil composition, which results in wines of extraordinary quality. The distinct aromas and bouquets from each vineyard reflect the nuanced terroir, with manual harvesting typically beginning in mid-September and lasting a month.
Winemaking and Viticulture Philosophy
At the heart of Marsuret’s winemaking philosophy is an unwavering commitment to quality. The family carefully tends to the vineyards, hand-harvesting and selecting only the best grapes. Ermes Marsura, as the proud heir to this legacy, has introduced modern techniques and advanced research, ensuring precision in every bottle. The winery itself is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, designed to protect the environment while enhancing production. Nestled discreetly among the vineyards, it’s a testament to Marsuret’s dedication to sustainable winemaking.
