This week we are traveling to Bavaria. This is the region in Southern Germany, the best-known city being Munich. This area is full of great activities for anyone willing to give it a try. In this email, you'll find the top things to do in each of the major cities of Bavaria and the surrounding area.
Nuremberg, Germany
One of the best things to do in Nuremberg is the Hauptmarkt. It is an outdoor market full of local vendors and food trucks and is a favorite place for locals to shop for fresh goods. In the center of the market is Schöner Brunnen, a beautiful fountain. Not far from the market is Old Town, the section of town restored to its former glory after World War II. The Nuremberg Castle, Saint-Sebald Church, Albrecht Dürer's House all call this area of town home. If you'd rather spend the day shopping, head over to Karolinenstraße to find the nearly 1,000 ft long pedestrian street with international shops.
Munich, Germany
Munich is a place for architecture that spans across all styles. If you are looking for a Gothic Revival wonder, check out the Marienplatz, Munich's town hall. Or the Baroque style of Church, designed by Italian architects at the 17th-century Theatine Church. If you are looking for a beautiful building to keep you busy all day, check out Deutsches Museum. It was built in the early 20th century and to this day is one of the most significant science and technology museums in Germany. If you are looking to get outside during your visit to Munich, be sure to stop by the Englischer Garten. It takes on the title of one of the world's largest urban parks, with a Japanese teahouse, the Chinese Tower, and even surfers on the Eisbach River.
Salzburg Austria
This is a city to get outdoors. Nestled in the Alps, Salzburg is a city where history meets nature. There are plenty of trails to fill your lungs with fresh air and transport you to the scenes of the Sound of Music. One of the most amazing things to visit is the Hohensalzburg Fortress, which sits high atop the city. In the Holiday season, you can visit the Christmas Village and shops or escape indoors to the Museum of Modern Art.
Now that you know the top sites of each city, schedule a consultation to start planning your trip!
