In honor of the 20th anniversary of the Japan-designed 580 silhouette, New Balance has partnered with the Americana enthusiasts at Ball and Buck on a made-in-the-USA version of the 580's successor, the 585. The MiUSA 585 "Sporting Gentleman" is the first-ever 585 collaboration, and the second time B&B has worked with the revered footwear brand.
"Our second collaboration with New Balance builds on our past successes and really speaks to the core Ball and Buck customer, who appreciates style and an outdoor lifestyle," Ball and Buck founder and president Mark Bollman tells us. "The 'Sporting Gentleman' integrates our exclusive Horween leather, our signature 12.29oz duck canvas, and of course the defining print of our brand—the Ball and Buck signature plaid."
If you go in for classic outdoor style, well, you really can't do much better than this. But you better move fast. The sneaker just released online in very limited quantities, and you can expect it to sell out quickly. If you don't get your hands on a pair this go around, though, you can take solace in the upcoming global release on September 17.
