Gorgeous pixel art depicts characters from Marvel vs. Capcom, Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, and more in their retro best
We recently caught sight of Alan_not_Allen's awesome fighting game sprite work when we stumbled upon his Street Fighter 6 Ryu in Third Strike image, and quickly realized the rest of his art was very much worth sharing as well.
The California-based artist has a wonderful collection of characters that aren't usually depicted in such basic levels of resolution, but that look just as (if not more so) beautiful as their Unreal or RE Engine counterparts.
We kick off with Monster Hunter, a Capcom character who has seen guest appearances in both Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite (as a DLC character) and Street Fighter 5 (via a few alternate costumes).
Newcomer to Guilty Gear Giovanna looks downright gorgeous in sprite form, and the latest character to join Strive, Baiken, does as well. It's hard to pick between these two, but we might give the edge to Gio because of her eyes.
We also get to see the Power Rangers versions of both Ryu and Chun, Darth Vader if he were part of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and plenty of other awesome characters.
Check out the selection via the full gallery below, and then chime into the comments to let us know which of these you liked best and why. There's plenty more on Alan's Twitter (linked up above) so if you like what you see you should definitely give him a follow on Twitter for more.
