What makes a person an “Adirondacker”? Must one be born within the Blue Line to qualify, or can it be an acquired trait? When I ponder these questions, I find myself thinking of one of my favorite people: Carol Gregson, of Olmstedville.
Carol was not born in the Adirondacks. As she writes in , her hilarious and heartwarming first book about her life as of 2003, “You may have noticed by now that I am not a native Adirondacker. I’ve only lived in these parts for about 50 years. But six of my children were born in Ticonderoga, so I make my claim by proxy through them.”
