    It seems that a new ‘style’ of church has swept onto the scene with some extraordinary success and incredible impact on young and old alike. Steven Furtick is the founder and lead pastor of an ‘off beat’ evangelical ministry called Elevation Church, based in North Carolina. At the age of 16, Furtick felt the call to pastor a church after reading the book Fresh Wind, Fresh Fire by Jim Cymbala. He holds a Master of Divinity degree and is a New York Times Best Selling author. February 2006 marked Elevation Church’s first service, and since then they have grown to include multiple locations across several states. Elevation has been recognised as one of the top 100 fastest growing churches in America, every year since 2007.
