THE CANINE COPS

The Madhya Pradesh police dog squad has some new, young inductees—10 pairs of indigenous breed puppies. The addition to the canine force was apparently inspired by one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio broadcasts in August, in which, as part of his government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ pitch, he had asked animal lovers to adopt indigenous dog breeds.
