Princess Zahra Aga Khan

Director of the Aga Khan Development Network, where she is in charge of its health, education, planning and building institutions, with a particular interest in areas of social and economic development.

Sofia Blount

Co-founder of the law firm Omnia Strategy, where she worked on the implementation of United Nations protocols for the protection of biodiversity.

George Duffield

Co-founder and trustee of Blue Marine Foundation and co-founder and partner at Ocean 14 Capital which invests in new technologies and ocean-related industries.

Sir Charles Dunstone

Founder and executive chair of the TalkTalk Group, one of the UK’s leading telecoms businesses, and chairman of Royal Museums Greenwich, which includes the Royal Observatory and National Maritime Museum.

Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall

Writer, broadcaster, campaigner and vice-president of Fauna and Flora International, the world’s oldest international wildlife conservation organisation. He is also a patron of Switchback, which helps young offenders find opportunities in the catering industry.

Evi Lazou

Founding partner and chair of the People’s Trust, a non-profit that supports startups and small businesses with micro loans. She is also chairman of the Athanasios C Laskaridis Charitable Foundation, part of whose work focuses on the protection of the marine environment and the fight against pollution in the Mediterranean.

Frederikke Magnussen

Co-founder of the non-profit A Plastic Planet, which campaigns to reduce the use of plastic, especially single-use packaging.

Callum Roberts

Professor of marine conservation in the Centre for Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter. Callum is also an international authority on coral reefs and the author of several books, most recently the memoir Reef Life.

Yvonne Sadovy

Honorary professor at the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Hong Kong and co-founder and executive director of SCRFA, an NGO that works to promote and facilitate the conservation of aggregations of fish, especially when they are spawning.

Jasper Smith

Tech entrepreneur and investor, and founder and chairman of Arksen, which builds explorer yachts and plans to create the world’s largest purpose-built marine research fleet.

Romain Troublé

Executive director of the French marine conservation non-profit Fondation Tara Ocean, which runs scientific expeditions on its 36-metre research vessel that has UN special observer status. Troublé has twice competed in the America’s Cup as a member of the French team.
