n May 2020, Pine Manor College (PMC), a small liberal arts college, announced it would merge with Boston College due to financial hardship exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, the Solstice Low-Residency MFA program, which was hosted by PMC, is now, according to the program website, “in discussions with various colleges and universities in and around Massachusetts to find a mission-aligned institution to forge a partnership for.
