VOICES OF WAR

In January 2016, I drove to a small bungalow in rural Hampshire, England. Having only joined History of War the previous November, I was still new to the job, and on that particular day I was about to conduct my first ever interview. Although prepared, I was also nervous – I already knew that this was no ordinary interviewee.
