Sarah Parish’s laugh should be bottled and available on prescription. It’s a feel-good, head-back, room-filling guffaw that is so beautifully infectious, you can’t help but chuckle when one crashes into conversation.
The first arrives two minutes into our interview, when the actor amusingly describes how she recently entered embarrassing-mum territory.
‘We were at a house party and I did some dancing, and I saw Nell going like that,’ says Sarah, 53, recreating the disdainful glance she received from her 12-year-old. ‘I was really breaking my best moves as well!’
On the whole, the mother-daughter relationship is solid.
