Q&A: turacos, linnies and finches

I ALREADY have a mixed collection of foreign finches, quail and spreo starlings. I would like to start keeping turacos. Could you let me know what the best starter species is, what sort of perches do they need and what are the best nesting receptacles? Also, will they mix with other types of bird?

The best member of the turaco family for newcomers is probably They are relatively hardy, are not aggressive with each other and will usually breed readily.
