’ve been painting figures for the armies and enemies of the early Tudor state (1490-1525) for the last 12 years and I’m nowhere near done! There is so much more that I want to show. I’m very much driven by the need to demonstrate just how modern and flexible the Tudor armies were and the great number and variety of engagements and theatres a soldier could find himself in. The bulk of the scenarios I have used the army for are the engagements of the 1513 invasion of France and the Flodden campaign along with similar Franco/Scots campaigns in 1523-4 and various incursions in Ireland throughout this early period.
