I’m an AFAB trans person and I’m fed up with being infantilised

“You look like such a dapper little bean,” Sophie says, ruffling my freshly trimmed curls as I back away from her touch. At least this time she hasn’t referred to me as “soft boi” or “baby boy”. But her cooing tone and choice of words crawls under my skin. I had previously been feeling myself, dressed to the tens in my gender euphoria best. Now my confidence is starting to crack.
