THE MANSION OF THE CATS

The villagers called it ‘The Mansion of the Cats’. Furry creatures prowled through its gardens, dined in its kitchens, and snoozed on its sunny windowsills. It was a feline paradise!

The cats paid humans to cook and clean for them. Being a housemaid for several dozen kitties was not an easy job, though. They were fussy about their food, shed fur all over the place and got under their servants’ feet! Maids usually quit after a week or two, complaining about their allergies.
