1.21 UPDATE
Announced in October of 2023, the next big update to the game is due to be ready around the middle of next year (the last two, Trails & Tales and The Wild, have both appeared on 7th June, so keep an eye out for that date). These new changes are still being called the ‘1.21 Update’, as they’ve not been given an official name yet – though you can already experience some of these features in development versions of the game.

1.21 UPDATE – ARMADILLO
Winner of the public vote during Minecraft Live 2023, with over 40% of the vote, the armadillo beat out (and we can’t believe this) penguins and crabs to become the new animal addition to the game in the next big update.
