About this audiobook

A SPECIAL 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION NARRATED BY THE AUTHOR

Discover the deliciously dark and fantastically funny No. 1 bestseller about a woman living life rather too well and being whisked away from it all, from the No. 1 bestselling author of Grown Ups

'How did it end up like this? Twenty-seven, unemployed, mistaken for a drug addict, in a treatment centre in the back arse of nowhere with an empty Valium bottle in my knickers . . .'

Meet Rachel Walsh.

She's been living it up in New York City, spending her nights talking her way into glamorous parties before heading home in the early hours to her hot boyfriend Luke.

But her sensible older sister showing up and sending her off to actual rehab wasn't quite part of her plan.

She's only agreed to her incarceration because she's heard that rehab is wall-to-wall jacuzzis, gymnasiums and rock stars going cold turkey - plus it's about time she had a holiday.

Saying goodbye to fun will be hard. But not as hard as losing the man who she realises, all too late, might just be the love of her life . . .

Gloriously funny, heartwarming without being saccharine, another great Keyes work.

I was a reluctant reader. This was not my type of book but a book club choice. I found it dealt with a difficult subject with great insight and laugh out loud humour. It brought back a lot of memories about how things used to be and how often alcohol and drugs were used to deflect having to feel any uncomfortable feelings Perhaps too happy an ending but none the worse for that

I'm a 53 year old Englishman who through his partner and friends recommendations occasionally reads a little chick lit. My mate had bought the sequel to this book as a holiday read and recommended this book.

Wow! I was blown away. Its definite one of the best books I've read in a while. Hilarious, moving, astute and a little bit harrowing. I told my mate I wasn't expecting Trainspotting with Tampons. Parts are pretty bleak. It's truly moving how the layers are peeled away from Rachel's fun hectic life where she hasn't a problem, to the truth.

The author reads the book and her accent is so lovely, it's hilarious when she swears, yer big hoor!
