About this ebook

There can be little doubt that we are living in a world where extremist views and fanatical religious ideology are at the forefront of our minds. This is particularly so with the collapse of several Middle East states and the rise of groups such as Islamic State. Since September 11, 2001, there have been more than 30,700 deadly Islamic terrorist attacks. Why? Perhaps if we try to understand, or at the very least acknowledge, what Islamic terrorists use as their motivational literature we can discover a way to communicate with them before violence becomes their only perceived alternative. Muhammad’s Wrath: The Dark Side of Islam takes an impartial look at Islamic literature that many extremists use as their inspiration. It exhibits quotes from the Quran and Hadith that many non-Islamic people around the world find offensive, disturbing and threatening. Many of the verses chosen have been cited by extremist and terrorists as their inspiration for horrifying acts, or as tools to attract and recruit new members and until we can discover what sets them on this path, we will see more bloodshed. Muhammad’s Wrath is not meant to promote hate or prejudice against Muslim people. It is it my intention to insinuate that all Muslims are extremist, terrorists, or violent. It contains only my own opinions of the Islamic faith, drawn from personal interpretations of Islamic text and the Holy Quran.
“Therefor obey not thou the rejecters”
“So, submit patiently to thy Lord's command, and obey not of them any guilty one or disbeliever.”
"there will appear young people with foolish thoughts and ideas. They will give good talks, but they will go out of Islam as an arrow goes out of its game, their faith will not exceed their throats. So, wherever you find them, kill them, for there will be a reward for their killers on the Day of Resurrection.”
“It is not for the Prophet, and those who believe, to pray for the forgiveness of idolaters even though they may be near of kin to them”
“Allah hath not chosen any son”
"Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah"
"Allah is only One Allah. Far is it removed from his transcendent majesty that he should have a son."
"“They indeed have disbelieved who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary.
“They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three"
“The Messiah, son of Mary, was no other than a messenger, messengers the like of whom had passed away before him."
"May Allah's Curse be on the Jews and the Christians"
"those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves.”
“They are not equal in the sight of Allah. Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.”
“Lo! the worst of beasts in Allah's sight are the ungrateful who will not believe.”
“most of them are ignorant.”
"the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you women."
"I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you."
"I have stoned her according to the tradition of Allah's Apostle.”
“I asked the Prophet, O Allah's Apostle! Should the women be asked for their consent to their marriage? He said, Yes. I said, A virgin, if asked, feels shy and keeps quiet. He said, her silence means her consent.”
“When the Prophet married me, my mother came to me and made me enter the house of the Prophet and nothing surprised me but the coming of Allah's Apostle to me in the forenoon.”
“the Prophet married her when she was six years old"

Muhammad's Wrath The Dark Side of Islam - R. Mott

    Introduction

This book was not written as a tool to promote hate or prejudice against the Muslim people. I do not believe anyone should be denied their basic rights, such as freedom of religion. Nor, is it my intention to insinuate that all Muslims are extremist, terrorist, or violent. This book is based on my views and my opinions of the Islamic faith, drawn from personal interpretations of Islamic text and the Holy Quran.

I decided to compile this text in defense of fellow Americans who simply differ with or have concerns about the Islamic religious doctrine and traditions. I have seen neighbors, coworkers and ordinary Americans being ridiculed, shamed and attacked because of their religious views and traditions that contrast with or they simply disbelieve in the Islamic religion. Many times, expressing concerns about Islamic traditions, Muslims, or their ability to assimilate into a non-Islamic society draws an instant barrage of name-calling and harassment. It seems, anyone who disagrees with or is an outright disbeliever of the Islamic faith or customs is at once labeled a racist, or told they suffer from Islamophobia and frequently told they are just stereotyping all Muslims. I have personally witnessed numerous occasions on social media sites when someone posts a remark about the Quran or other Islamic texts and are instantly verbally attacked, yet if they displayed an accurate quote from an Islamic text. Frequently remarks concerning the Islamic faith are not intended to include all Muslims or are not supposed to be taken as anti-Islamic rhetoric. Have American citizens become so fearful of offending someone that liberties have been lost? Is displaying accurate quotes from a religion inspirational writings slanderous or infringing on the follower's freedom of religious belief? These vicious responses are not always hailed from any specific religious following as most are aware people tend to become very vocal and overly defensive when debating religion. Are people committing a hate crime by disagreeing with a spiritual practice or ideology? No, a person should not be forced to follow any religious philosophy, but if the disagreement escalates into a vicious verbal or physical attack that was motivated by gender, race or religion it could be perceived as a hate crime in the US. The pros and cons of United States freedom of religion laws have been heavily debated for many years now. Another trend I have noticed on social media sites which invoke hateful name calling occurs when someone tries to defend their religion against non-believers. I do not intend to install fear of Muslims or the Islamic faith by the writing of this book, and I apologize if I offend any peaceful practitioners of the Islamic faith that do not participate, support or promote any of the atrocities listed in this book. My intentions, are to help people understand why so many of my fellow countrymen are legitimately concerned about the teachings of the Islamic faith.

"I consider it part of my responsibility as president of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear." - President Obama. - The President's Speech in Cairo: A New Beginning. (2009). whitehouse.gov. Retrieved 5 May 2017, from: https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/blog/2009/06/04/presidentrsquos-speech-cairo-a-new-beginning

I also understand that being the president of the largest free nation in the world that he has an obligation to protect the rights of all Americans, this includes freedom of religion no matter if you practice or agree with the religion or not. At the same time, I feel as the president of the largest free nation in the world he also bears an obligation to try and assist the people of the world are being oppressed, tortured, beaten, stoned, murdered and maimed. I believe the denial of or ignoring these atrocities in any way is counterproductive and may even encourage these terrible deeds.

"We have Jews, Muslims, Hindus, atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, and their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own" - President Obama. - Remarks by the President in a Backyard Discussion in Albuquerque, New Mexico. (2010). whitehouse.gov. Retrieved 5 May 2017, from:

I used several quotes from former President Barack Obama while compiling this text. I'm not trying to insinuate it anyway Mr. Obama practices the Islamic faith or is a Muslim. He has the right to practice whatever religion, he likes. I personally do not care what religion the former President practices. His personal beliefs are irrelevant to me if they do not interfere with the freedom and safety of my family or fellow Americans. I used quotes from the former president primarily because of his high-profile status and his insistence that Islam is a religious belief that teaches and promotes peace and is tolerant of other religions. Even though I partially understand why Mr. Obama made many of the decisions concerning Islam and the Muslim people that he did, I hold firm to my opinion that a person in his position needs to present an honest, unbiased assessment of terrorism to the American people, including the best intelligence on what is causing the increase in terrorism around the world.

I agree with president Obama about the fact America has many religions coexisting within its borders. I also agree they have the right, as American citizens, to find their own path to grace as the former president put it, if this itinerary does not include the use of violence, terrorism, murder or war and they abide by the US Constitution, Federal and State laws. Religious law should never override United States laws.

"Don’t respond to ignorance by embracing a world view that suggests you must choose between your faith and your patriotism." - President Obama. - Remarks by the President at Islamic Society of Baltimore. (2016). whitehouse.gov. Retrieved 5 May 2017, from :

    https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-office/2016/02/03/remarks-president-islamic-society-baltimore

"It is obligatory for one to listen to and obey the ruler's orders unless these orders involve one disobedience to Allah; but if an act of disobedience to Allah is imposed, he should not listen to or obey it."- Prophet Muhammad. Bukhari, Book 52, Fighting for the Cause of Allah, Volume 4:203.

    33:1.

"Keep thy duty to Allah and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites." (1) – The Quran.

It is also my opinion that this path to grace should not include slavery, such as bond-maids, servants, child labor or sex slaves. I also strongly disagree with child marriage, which is in my opinion, a form of child abuse and child molestation. I do not agree with or support any path to grace that encourages, supports or allows honor violence, honor killings, beating women, degrading women, or mutilation of female sexual organs. I also personally object to any religious ritual or tradition that deprives women, their freedom of expression, whether it be by suppression of speech, dress, artistic choice etc.

"These rituals remind us of the principles that we hold in common, and Islam’s role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance, and the dignity of all human beings."- President Obama. - Statement by the President on the Occasion of Ramadan. (2010). whitehouse.gov. Retrieved 5 May 2017, from:

    https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-office/2010/08/11/statement-president-occasion-ramadan

The succeeding chapters of this book will highlight many practices and traditions of the Islamic faith many Americans believe are exclusively practiced by an extremist or terrorist. Many times, in recent years, some of my fellow Americans have tried to disprove or simply deny the existence of a link to Islamic extremism and the Quran or Hadith books. Anyone who has read these text without the burden of religious expectations can easily find recruiting material that could be used to encourage and convince disgruntled, oppressed, unhappy or unstable members of the Islamic faithful, of the religious authenticity expressed by their extremist views. Once a connection has been established in their holy text convincing them to perpetrate atrocities against fellow human beings become much easier. Much like the old saying: there is no such thing as an atheist in a foxhole people are more likely to willingly sacrifice their life for a cause if they believe in an afterlife, especially if they think their actions are in some way supporting or defending a religion. Many are taught acts of violence, including sacrificing their life, will be forgiven by Allah and they will be given rewards for their ultimate loyalty in heaven.

"Throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality."- President Obama.

I wish I could truly believe the quote above but sadly, I do not. To the contrary, I believe history clearly demonstrates the spread of Islam was not due to religious tolerance, racial equality or peace. Furthermore, it is calculated that more than 200,000,000 non-Arabs have fallen victim to the Islamic/Arab slave trade with more than 14 million of these being blacks from Africa. To put these figures into perspective, experts such as professors David Eltis and David Richardson have estimated 12.5 million slaves were transported to the Americas. (The Caribbean’s, North, central and South combined) Sadly, nearly 2 million lost their lives during the long journey across the harsh seas. Cramped and poor living conditions on board the slave ships were appalling, to say the least, which aided in the spread of sickness and disease. Many who survived the ordeal of transport arrived at the Americas dehydrated and malnutrition. Only about 10.7 million arrived at their new world destinations. Professors Eltis and Richardson estimate that only 388,000 were shipped to North America. This is not the total number of blacks that were enslaved in America, the offspring of slaves was enslaved as well, substantially increasing the number of slaves in the US by 1860. (Over 1 million) Other reports place the total at 45,000 to include slaves that brought up from the Caribbean and South America. Many Americans, I have spoken with believe America dominated the African slave trade with little or no knowledge of the extent of the Islamic/Arab slave trade. Many are also oblivious to the fact that the US as an independent nation, outlawed slavery within 90 years of gaining independence. While nations such as the Islamic African nation of Mauritania leads the modern world in slavery by the percentage of its population that is currently enslaved. Slavery in Mauritania is so common that many experts regard it a modern-day slave state. 7 out of the top 10 nations with the highest percentage of their population enslaved in the world today are Islamic/Muslim nations, except for India. The Muslim population of India exceeds more than 170 million, primarily located in the southern portion of the nation, which, not surprisingly, consist of the main concentration of modern slaves as well. I understand that not all modern slaves are because of Islam or Muslims, but, I also refuse to overlook higher percentages of the Muslim nations in the top ten either. Nor will I overlook the high percentage of other atrocities that occur mainly in Muslim nations that receive little media coverage in the United states.

It is also my hope that by trying to bring some of these dark atrocities to the forefront, that a larger worldwide outcry will bring an end to some of these primitive practices and traditions. I've forever been a believer that knowledge is the way forward. I understand a lot of people will not find the contents of this book favorably, but perhaps if more people learn about some of the darker teachings and practices of the Islamic faith, fewer women will be brutalized, beaten and needlessly murdered around the world. Perhaps if we try to understand or at the very least acknowledge, what Islamic terrorist and extremist use as their motivational and inspirational literature we can discover a way to communicate with them before violence and war become their only perceived alternative. I understand sometimes war and retaliation or defense against terrorism and aggression cannot be averted. I also realize that at the present time there are no quick magical solutions that will end the hostilities and seemingly inconceivable differences that are plaguing mankind around the globe. I also understand that as a species, we must never stop trying to find peaceful solutions to our differences and disagreements. We must try to find, understand and eliminate what has created these differences and disagreements that are causing so much bloodshed in the world today. Even though we arrived at this present place in time from many different paths, we must remember one simple fact, we're all one race, the human race and for the future of our race, we must find a way to peacefully coexist. Even if this means that we must break the code of silence and acknowledge the possibility that religions around the world may share some of the blame for the needless bloodshed and the need to dominate others that plague modern man.

    Merriam Webster defines religion as:

"the service and worship of God or the supernatural"

commitment or devotion to religious faith or observance

"a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices"

"a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith"

Author's note. My readers need to be advised that the concept or meaning of the word Jihad in the Quran and the Hadith may not always refer to physical combat, war, terrorism or violence. The meaning of jihad can at times be meant as a spiritual journey or internal struggle to keep one's faith to Allah. I am not a religious scholar and give no pretense to the intended meaning or definitions of the word jihad used in this book. It is obvious in many cases, but not all, that the meeting was clearly meant as a battle, or holy war. All religions are faith-based, the meaning and definition of the word jihad are heavily influenced by an individual’s personal devotion, understanding and interpretation of the words and verses where it is used. I will leave it up to the reader to make up his own mind as to the meaning of the word jihad regarding the following Quran verses and Islamic text. - The meaning of the word jihad was taken and condensed from personal interviews conducted by the author, with followers of Muslim faith along with Islamic text..

"The Prophet said, A time will come when the people will wage holy war, and it will be asked, 'Is there any amongst you who has enjoyed the company of Allah's Apostle?' They will say: 'Yes.' And then victory will be bestowed upon them.

They will wage holy war again, and it will be asked: 'Is there any among you who has enjoyed the company of the companions of Allah's Apostle?' They will say: 'Yes.' And then victory will be bestowed on them." - Sahih Bukhari, Book 56: Virtues and Merits of the Prophet (pbuh) and his Companions. Volume 4, Book 56:792, Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri.

    Apostasy and Blasphemy

A friend of my wife and I ask to read an early edition of this book before it went to print and I gladly accepted, knowing her and her husband's knowledge of Islamic practices and traditions are profoundly greater than mine. She is Indonesian and before converting to Christianity grew up practicing the Islamic faith, many members of her family in Indonesia are still devout Muslims to this present day. After reviewing the unfinished work, she conveyed her thoughts to my wife. She did not express any defiance to the content of the book, but repeatedly stressed her concerns for my safety and the safety of my wife and family. I have known the risk associated with writing a book containing data that the Islamic community may take offense to long before I resolved to undertake this challenging task. Researching and compiling the content of this book was at times emotionally taxing, to say the least. As a friend said, it is a very difficult subject to write about. Unfortunately, when you write about religion or politics you will undoubtedly offend someone. So, I had to accept the fact this work may be considered blasphemy by the greater Islamic community and may very well place my life in danger. I debated moving forward with this project for some time, finally deciding the need for the information contained within outweighed the risk. I was aware of other incidences that
