      My name is Steffy, it had been a long hard day. School was a bore and here am I just walking home, no hope, no love, no where to go and dry my eyes.

      As I walked up to the house, feeling sorry for myself I remembered the secret place that my Gran had told me about as she tucked me into bed one night. I will go there I thought to myself for here no-one else seemed to care what I did or didn’t do.

      Follow the first star that you see at night, she had said. Her eyes sparkled as she told me that she had been led to the most beautiful place that she had ever seen on a starry night so long ago.

      Follow you star I hear her words so clear.

      The sun was fading over the hill behind my Gran’s house as I walked up the path for tea. I will ask her more about the things she saw that night so long ago. I thought as I washed my hands and made my way to the dinner table. Mum and Dad were already seated and ready to say grace as I came into the room, but I couldn’t see Gran.

      Mum, I asked. Is Gran out tonight?

      No, honey, she is just a bit late, Aunt Ruby called over to see her today.
