About this ebook
Vitamin C is one of the most popular vitamins. Apart from taking it to treat cold symptoms and colds, some people take vitamin C supplements or drink lots of orange or apple juice with a hope that this vitamin will prevent various ailments. There are scientific evidence to support some of that hope.
Many scientifically controlled studies using vitamin C for colds show that it can reduce the severity of cold symptoms, acting as a natural antihistamine. It can also be very useful for allergy control for the same reason: It reduces histamine levels. Because vitamin C gives your immune system one of the important nutrients it needs, extra vitamin C would often shorten the duration of the cold as well.
Do you bleed while brushing your teeth? It is not just only you. Many people bleed while brushing. It could be as result of periodontitis- inflammation around the tooth. It can be as a result of deficiency in Vitamin C. 20% of Americans lack Vitamin C and they do not know it. Vitamin C deficiency leads to scurvy. Scurvy can lead to sudden death if not diagnosed and remedied. The capacity for scurvy to slowly and silently destroy the organs are immense. When it starts with one organ, it piles up on to other organs. Vitamin C can help you reduce the blood vessels spasms diminishing the risk for heart attacks and related heart diseases.
As a diabetic, you may face gum problems, muscles weakness, and difficulties in the healing of different wounds, especially skin ones. The intake of vitamin C can play a crucial role in reducing all these problems as well as the prevention of scurvy.
In addition, as a diabetic you can face other several diabetes complications in your kidneys, eyes and nerves. This is because of the accumulation of some substances in these organs of your body. Vitamin C can interfere in the production of these substances, and practically, vitamin C can protect you from severe diabetes complications.
