How To Use This Book
I have been practicing and refining my speaking skills for more than 30 years. I joined Toastmasters in 1987 and served as International President for the organization from 2015-2016. Toastmasters International is a communication and leadership development organization that operates more than 16,000 clubs in more than 145 countries. The not-for-profit organization was established in 1924 and remains strong today. Toastmasters has played a significant role in my development as a speaker and leader.
My desire for you, the reader, is to see the role that knowledge, practice, and feedback serve in your development as a speaker, and to use the material in this book to discover, fully understand, and effectively communicate all that you have to say.
