I want to thank you and congratulate you for downloading the book, How to Run a Marathon

This book contains helpful information on how to work towards successfully completing your first marathon. It provides tips and techniques to help your mind and body get ready for the daunting task. If you don’t think you can do it, then you should know that the only thing that’s really stopping you are your doubts about yourself! People of all ages and abilities have trained for, and successfully completed marathons all around the world.
This book will serve as a training reference guide, and give you plenty of information that will assist in your preparation. It contains two separate 20 week training plans to suit for different fitness levels.
26.2 miles is a long way to go. Remember, no rewarding journey is ever going to be easy, and you’ll need all the help you can get in order to conquer this feat! Stay positive, motivated and focused on your goal, and in no time you will be prepared to complete your first marathon, and many more to come.

The marathon is a race which covers 26 miles and 385 yards or 42.195 kilometers. But why exactly is it called a marathon
