Does God have the flu? - Cindy Mezas
Introduction
Such a strange title for a book about healing, I know. But it is indeed a book on health and healing. I needed to ask you this question: Does God has the flu? before you start reading this book. You see, I encounter so many people who are sick, seeking healing and health. Yet they are blaming God for the sickness, blaming Him for not protecting them from the sickness, disease, or blaming even themselves for being sick. Then there are many Christians even who still think that God is teaching them a lesson by making or keeping them sick and in pain. Thinking it is God's plan for them, that not everyone can get healed. Others think it is their fate in life. Maybe even their cross God wants them to bear, while many people receive healing and being healthy. Now, does God have the flu? I could also have asked does God has cancer? Or is God barren?, does God have scoliosis, or Ms? Does God have chronic pain? Is God in a wheelchair or walking with a walker since He has been around for ages? If I asked you these questions, then you would think that I was just silly because the answer to all these questions is no, of course.
This is the reason I wrote this book to show people that the Word of God is truth and He can not lie; also that He never wanted us sick because we are made in His image and likeness, and He is not sick. To address the misunderstanding some people have of God.
Genesis 1: 26 NKJV
Then God said,
Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Chapter 1
Was the Son of God born prematurely?
Or: Was the son of God born with any deficiency? The answers to these questions we find in the Word of God. We can see that the big answer to all the above questions I asked you is always a very huge no! NO, God does not have the flu! Jesus, the Son of God, was not born prematurely or with any deficiency! He cannot have the flu, and for that matter, He cannot have any kind of sickness or disease. It is impossible for Him to have cancer or scoliosis. The fact is that He never invented it. Or better said; He never spoke sickness into being. Yes, you have read it right. He, God who made heaven and earth never ever {never ever will} spoke the flu, cancer, scoliosis, pain or whatever the sickness, whatever kind of illness, disease there is or is to come. Whatever you or others might have, whatsoever the name is into existence, He didn't and will never ever do for the simple reason that throughout the whole Bible, everything came into existence through the spoken word by faith. We can find this in Genesis chapter one. He spoke with words by faith with the power in His tongue: light, day, grass, trees, animals, stars, the sun, and people into being. It took God a few prophets who dared to speak what God asked them to say to get Jesus to be born. Like the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 7: 14 NKJV
Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 9:6-7 NKJV
"For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,"
This took Isaiah some courage to speak out. All because it was an impossibility, he might have looked like a fool. How many of us would be bold enough to speak the words Isaiah spoke? Others might laugh at you and think you are crazy, but Isaiah spoke it, and it has happened. The words God gave Isaiah to speak came to pass even though Isaiah the prophet never saw it physically; his words made Jesus to be born. You can find this written in Luke 1:26 -38 NKJV.
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her,
Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women! But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her,
Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end."
Then Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I do not know a man?
And the angel answered and said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God nothing will be impossible.
Then Mary said, Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.
And the angel departed from her."
Here we can read all about how it happened. Years after the prophet Isaiah spoke those words, God gave him to speak.
Know this and keep it in your heart, please. God has and will never speak something into existence that will harm or ruin you. All He wants is for you to be living in health, peace, all kinds of good things. That is the reason He sends His only begotten son into this world. God has, according to Jeremiah, another prophet who spoke words of God in the midst of adversity.
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 KJ21
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
He did just that by sending His own son. So you can read with your own eyes that He only speaks and wants good things in your life. I want to highlight a few of the words in this particular scripture and are the words thought and peace. The meaning is as follows, according to Strong´s Expanded Exhaustive Concordance dictionary.
Thought :
Thought, plan, purpose, intention, imagination, device
Peace:
Shalom, Completeness[in number], soundness[ in body], welfare, safety, good health, prosperity, tranquillity, contentment, peace from war, peace in human relationships.
These are the types of thoughts God has for our thoughts to prosper you in every area of life.
This is not the only part of the Word of God where we can find Him wanting good things for us. In the following scripture
James 1:17 KJ21
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Psalms 35:27
"He delights in the PROSPERITY of his servants."
These scriptures are the reason
