    Note from the Author

Love. Someone once told me that true love comes your way only once in a lifetime, every other experience is only a spin-off of it. At this point in my life I can’t agree with or deny that. All I can say for sure is that I have loved, and I know that I have been loved. The feeling is undeniable.

I’ve grown so much since my last manuscript. Life has changed in so many ways. I have changed in so many ways. The child I used to be has had the opportunity to grow into a young man, and I hope that I’m able to show that within the pages of this manuscript. Just as always, each piece is fact, no fiction. Each piece captures my feelings, emotions, my moments in time, and will forever freeze what I felt at that time.

To those who walked with me long enough, cared for me long enough, endured me long enough for me to love you the way you loved me, I simply thank you… for giving me the inspiration to write. I will love you forever.

Life. Like a rollercoaster without wheels or rails; my life has truly had its ups and downs, insides and outs, loops and unbelievable triumphs when all odds stood against me. But I read once that even airplanes take off against the wind.

Although life has had its way of drowning me, brining me the most pain I’d hoped to never know, I had enough fortitude within me to fight back and reclaim my place in it. This manuscript can’t even begin to describe how it felt to burry 10 friends in 2 years… and later, my uncle, my father, grandfather and mother. Unbelievable!! How strong does God really think I am? But nonetheless, that is life… And my mother told me once that as long as you have breath in your body you can make it through. I hope thus far I have made her proud of me. Even though I still crumble beneath the weight of life sometimes; wishing it would all end, I still love her for her strength, her strong words, and her guidance that will stay with me and hold me, like it always has, through my most trying times.

Relationships. Yeah…I’ve never been too good at them. Maybe that’s the reason I’m here with no wife or children to call my own… No one to greet me or sounds of little feet pitter-pattering around my house. What can I say? Most times it was my fault that relationships didn’t last. And I live with that. I swallow that and face that when I look myself in the mirror each day. So many things I could have or should have said or done, that could have changed outcomes. But pride and ego, those things that makes a man a fool, I finally learned are merely roadblocks to a man becoming the man he wants to be. These are lessons I’ve learned. These are tales that I hope you too will share with your seeds, and hopefully they won’t have to travel the same roads as I have.

Hopefully, you will read this and discover just how important Love, Life & Relationships are to you… that you cannot live without them any more than they can live without you. For this is the reason we exist at all, to live, to love, and build unforgettable relationships with companions that will never die, but live forever, and forever be a part of who, where, and what we are.

    Dare to Love,

          Never give up on Life,

                        Always cherish Relationships.

    Love, Life & Relationships

    Through life I’ve leaned

that we are all independent souls

    traveling independent roads…

    alone.

    But through life

    our souls cross other
