Introduction
Hello and Welcome to the Amazing Man United Quiz!
Here are 655 specially selected questions to test your memory, tease your brain, and heighten your appreciation of this supremely popular, successful, and affluent club.
United have a deep and emotional history.
In football, as with life, we often wonder.
What might have happened?
What if pivotal events had turned out differently?
What if Matt Busby had joined Man City as manager in 1945?
What if Ron Atkinson had won the League title in 1985-86, and Alex Ferguson had been offered the job to manage Liverpool?
What if Man U had emerged gloriously triumphant in both Champions League finals against Barcelona?
The briefest of moments contain the power to change everything.
Of course we can’t go back in time but, included at the back of this book you will find a selection of alternative versions of history for the Old Trafford outfit.
You should read the version that best matches your performance.
If you get most of the answers wrong, then you should take a glimpse of a terrible United reality.
If, on the other hand, you get most of the questions right, why not catch sight of an even more brilliant version of Man U’s star-studded history!
Supreme success or awful failure? What calibre of United history will your answers achieve?
One thing’s for sure, this book has been designed for you to build a strong knowledge base of the most important people and events in the history of United.
The more you read this book, the more you will impress with your devotion and insight into what makes this such a very special football club.
United!
Why A Quiz?
As soon as I settle down into a quiz, I feel naturally relaxed. It’s like I can just shut a door on the outside world and be in my own zone, testing my memory, and teasing my brain.
I love the feeling of getting the answer right and now I time myself so it’s even more challenging.
I used to suffer from stress. A friend recommended I try quizzes so I did. Soon I find myself being able to retain information better, and focus on details more. I am glad I found quizzes. I do one every day now. Rain or shine.
As you grow older in life, it pays to keep your brain sharp, and stave off dementia and diseases such as Alzheimer’s. Most elderly people report a failing memory. Memory loss can be as simple as forgetting where you put your keys to as serious as not knowing what day or even year it is.
Doing a quiz is a medically proven activity that helps you develop a strong memory. This is achieved by the ability of a quiz to reinforce existing connections between your brain cells.
With a healthy brain with healthy connections, you are in the best cognitive position to be in for your old age.
For young students - as the brain grows - it is even more beneficial to encourage the building of strong and improved neural networks as quizzes do.
Quizzes ensure the right attitude of fun towards learning. Quizzes are highly valued in top educational institutions as one of the best ways to engage students and enable learning in a fun way.
Quizzes can also help build confidence in your own ability to learn, and build motivation by immersing the learner in their chosen subject.
Those who do quizzes like this one from a very young age can expect to experience better performance in education, and an increased IQ.
In challenging times, a quiz is a way to keep your spirits and those of your family and friends high.
Doing a quiz, the participant has to think, dig deep, and, ultimately, be active.
So old or young, United fan, let the Man U Learning Fun begin!

The Best Ways to Play and Learn
1. Start to finish
As an individual, the most natural and straightforward way to do the quiz is to simply work your way through it from start to finish.
2. Tests and exams
However in order for you to really drill down into the knowledge, selections of questions in the form of tests and exams can be great ways to learn even more effectively.
To follow this method, the first thing to do is to decide upon the length of your individual test or exam.
A test is just a miniature version of a full exam.
An exam is a thorough examination of the strength and depth of your knowledge.
Here are four examples of test and exam lengths:
Man U General Test
A 15 minute test comprising of 30 questions drawn completely at random from all 655 questions.
Man U Specialist Test
For example, a 15 minute test (specialised on a single chapter eg. The Busby Years)
Comprises of 30 questions drawn completely at random from questions numbered 76 to 165.
