About the Author
Musician/Composer/Educator Gary Wolk was born in Racine, WI. At age 8, in 1961 he started playing guitar. At 12 years old he joined his first band, and in his teen years played in many local garage bands
, and started teaching guitar lessons while in High School. He entered the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1971 majoring in music education, string bass, and Classical guitar as well as playing in Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble, and Choir. After graduation he started teaching guitar and bass privately, as well as playing in bands in the Milwaukee-Chicago area for 10 years. In the mid-80s he worked for Hal Leonard Publishing writing and editing
