Clean up and Cash out: A complete guide to starting your own house-cleaning business

This full course can be used to get people into self-employment, and can give people who look for employment in the cleaning business an advantage! See it from the perspective of an employer. If you apply for a house-cleaning job with a hotel and your résumé shows training in cleaning, then the employer will probably keep your résumé before one without any experience. Why? Because the employer can save a lot of money in training. And that is to your advantage!

It is that simple.

Alexandra Vogel

Many people may ask, "Why do you have a passion for cleaning?" My response is often that I love the feeling of leaving a spotless environment for my clients where they can take a deep breath and relax. My name is Alexandra Vogel and my passion for cleaning started in Germany, my country of origin. I started my first cleaning job twenty-seven years ago when my son was three years old. I wanted to make some extra money while my son was in kindergarten, and later when he started school. A friend of mine told me that she had some clients she cleaned houses for. I liked the idea of flexible work hours, but I did not enjoy the idea of cleaning other people's homes. Still, the money was appealing to me and therefore I was torn. Eventually, I decided to begin cleaning.Cleaning was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. It became a passion of mine that has stuck with me all my life. When I moved to Canada, I worked as a housekeeper for a local hotel where I gained even more experience. A couple months later, I was promoted to the housekeeping manager. The combined knowledge and passion of cleaning private homes and hospitality is now what I want to pass on to others.

    Introduction

Many people may ask me, Why do you have a passion for cleaning? My response is that I love the feeling of leaving a spotless environment for my clients; somewhere they can take a deep breath and relax.

My name is Alexandra Vogel and my passion for cleaning began in Germany, my country of origin. I started my first cleaning job twenty-seven years ago when my son was three years old.

I wanted to make some extra money while my son was in kindergarten, and continued to clean when he started school. Initially, a friend of mine told me that she had some clients she cleaned houses for. I liked the idea of flexible work hours, but I didn’t enjoy the idea of cleaning other people’s homes. Still, the money was appealing to me but I was torn. Eventually, I decided to begin cleaning and to give it a try.

Cleaning other’s homes was not as bad as I thought it would be. It became a passion of mine that has stuck with me throughout my life. When I moved to Canada, I worked as a housekeeper for a local hotel where I gained valuable experience. A few months later, I was promoted to become the Manager of Housekeeping.

Currently, I am back working full time as a private cleaner. My combination of knowledge and passion for cleaning and providing hospitality is what I wish to share with others, to set them on the path to a successful career in cleaning.
