I get excited that at the age of ninety-nine (2022), I could be going to heaven any day, week, month, or year.
Praise the Lord!
R ev. John Booko Sr. is an American-born Assyrian whose parents were born in northern Iraq. His parents were married in Chicago in 1921, where John was born on November 29, 1922.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II for almost three years as Aviation Machinist Mate Second Class. He gave his life to Christ in the navy and received his call to Christian ministry.
Reverend Booko holds a bachelor of theology degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois, in 1950, and a Master of Arts degree from Northwestern University Graduate School in Evanston, Illinois, in 1951.
He has been an ordained Baptist minister since 1951 and has served in three Michigan Baptist Churches for twenty-four years. In 1975, he founded an interdenominational church, now called Riverside Church, where he served the Lord with his son, Paul, who is the senior pastor.
John and his wife, Burnell, have resided in Three Rivers, Michigan, since August 1963. They have four children, fifteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. His wife went to heaven on April 30, 2010, after sixty-two years of marriage.
He has authored four other books: Assyria—the Forgotten Nation in Prophecy,
The Assyrian Revelation,
No Prayer Power, and
Abundant Blessings." His first book has been translated into the languages of India, Russia, and East Africa. He has traveled throughout the United States and the world, speaking on the subjects of his books.
He has met with the Israeli prime minister in Jerusalem and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo, where he prayed with him.

RESURRECTION
T hink of the humble caterpillar slowly crawling on earth. Then its life is hidden in the CHRYSALIS, and at least it comes out a beautiful butterfly with its colored wings, flying freely in the air.

Remember me? (Author unknown)
My name is Gossip. I have no respect for justice. I maim without killing. I break hearts and ruin lives.
I am cunning and malicious, and I gather strength with age. The more I am quoted, the more I am believed.
I flourish at every level of society. My victims are helpless. They cannot protect themselves against me because I have no name and no face. To track me down is impossible. The harder you try, the more elusive I become.
I am nobody’s friend. Once I tarnish a reputation, it is never the same.
I topple governments and wreck marriages. I ruin careers and cause sleepless nights, heartaches, and indigestions. I make innocent people cry in their pillows. Even my name hisses.
I am called Gossip. Office gossip. Shop gossip. Party gossip. Telephone gossip. I make headlines and headaches. Before you repeat a story, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it fair? Is it necessary? If not, DON’T REPEAT IT.
