THE BRETTON WOOD AGREEMENT AND SYSTEM

What is Bretton Wood Agreement you ask?

I'm not going to be long on the history of the market but it crucial for you to know about where this is all coming from, so The Bretton Woods Agreement was negotiated in 1944 by delegates from 44 countries at Unites Nations Monetary and Financial Conference held in Bretton Woods ,New Hemisphere. Thus, the name "Bretton Woods Agreement ,under the Bretton Woods System ,gold was for the basis for the U.S. dollar and other currencies were pegged to the U.S. dollar's value. Approximately 730 delegates representing 44 countries when they combined ideas in Bretton Woods they came out with the principle goals of creating an efficient "FOREIGN EXCHANGE SYSTEM" which is now commonly known as FOREX, preventing competitives devalueations of currencies and promoting international economic growth. So I know that's a little for a history session but what I'm trying to say here is that you atleast have to know of where the Foreign Exchange System originate from. So now might be a good start to get in the introduction to FOREX.
