About this ebook
Dan is excited to find little, telepathic penguin-like creatures in his garden's tool shed. They understand him so well and know how much he misses his mother, who passed away the year before. They are cute and vulnerable, and to keep them safe Dan hides them from his father. But when he learns that their presence may mean life or death for his family, Dan has to make the toughest decision of his life.

Kfir Luzzatto
Kfir Luzzatto is the author of twelve novels, several short stories and seven non-fiction books. Kfir was born and raised in Italy, and moved to Israel as a teenager. He acquired the love for the English language from his father, a former U.S. soldier, a voracious reader, and a prolific writer. He holds a PhD in chemical engineering and works as a patent attorney. In pursuit of his interest in the mind-body connection, Kfir was certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist by the Anglo European College of Therapeutic Hypnosis. Dan’s sister, Roberta, lifted her gaze from her book. She was lying on the grass, basking in the tepid Saturday morning sun. She had been reading a romantic story and had just gotten to the point where the heroine reveals to her friend, who she’s in love with. Her annoyance at the interruption was considerable.
Bobbie was twelve years old. She was graceful, though not beautiful, and with every day that passed, she reminded her father more of her mother. Bobbie and her brother had become very close since their mother’s death, less than a year before, and seldom quarreled, even under severe provocation. Four years her junior, Dan knew that Bobbie loved him and sometimes took advantage of her patience.
Go away, ugly,
said Bobbie, but didn’t go back to reading.
Bobbie, come please. I’ve got something to show you.
Not now, pest. Come back later.
