Q & A:
Is cannibalism a crime?
What is the act of cannibalism symbolically or metaphorically? What does it mean when someone says they will eat you?
The manipulation of a person’s way of life and inter-personal relationships (deep affection, tenderness) for social and financial gain, leading to a weakened resistance and isolation.
In the United States, there are no laws against cannibalism, per se, but most, if not all, states have enacted laws that indirectly make it impossible to legally obtain and consume the body matter. Murder, for instance, is a likely criminal charge, regardless of any consent. Surprisingly, in all but one U.S. state (Idaho) you can theoretically consume human blood or human flesh without legal consequences.
How primitive can you be?
You have the right to bear arms.
How can Filipino values such as utang na loob
promote or hinder freedom?
Utang na loob does not promote or hinder freedom. It is a token of gratitude to another person whom you are indebted to. Surely, if someone has done you a favor, you must be able to return the favor in the most appropriate manner, culturally speaking. If ignoring the person who helped you is your definition of hindering freedom, that is an entirely different matter. Are you seeking a way out of a sticky situation from that person? In the Filipino culture, you are deemed ungrateful if you have not gone out of your way to reward their kindness. Utang na loob, saying the words thank you
is not enough.
What are the tribes in the Philippines?
The Kalinga were known as voracious headhunters and cannibals, who would carry out long standing vendettas against rival tribes.
The Dumagats are one of the major groups of indigenous peoples living in the southern tagalog region south of Manila. Dumagats perform a traditional ritual at the ceremony recognizing their ancestral domain.
Are Badjao considered Filipino?
They are an indigenous ethnic group of the Philippines which has been there since at least 500AD. They live in the waters of the Sulu Sea, between Tawi-Tawi and Sabah. But over the decades, wars, piracy, discrimination, and fishing and environmental issues have led them to abandon their nomadic and boat-dwelling life.
Also, cannibal tribes of the Monolos and Mandaya’s are of Bisayan origin.

Is Favoritism an ethical issue?
Favoritism, cronyism, and nepotism all interfere with fairness because they give undue advantage to someone who does not necessarily merit this treatment.
What is the difference between favoritism and nepotism?
While the terms are often used interchangeably, there is a minor difference between them. Nepotism is when one favors relatives and friends due to kinship whereas favoritism is the act of favoring one person over the other no matter what.
What is the punishment for nepotism?
Violation of the nepotism laws is punishable as misdemeanors, with a fine of between $50 and $1000, imprisonment for no more than 6 months, or both.
Is favoritism against the law?
Favoritism can be illegal if it is based on unlawful reasons.
Is favoritism a crime?
If it takes the form of discrimination, harassment, or other mistreatment that violates the law.
Does favoritism fall under discrimination?
If workplace favoritism is based on protected characteristics, then it is illegal discrimination.
Is being singled-out at work discrimination?
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) describes disparate treatment – being singled out at the workplace because of your protected class – as illegal.
What is discrimination?
Discrimination occurs when people are treated less favorably than other people are in a comparable situation only because they belong or are perceived to belong to a certain group or category of people.
What is direct discrimination?
Direct discrimination is when you’re treated differently and worse than someone else for certain reasons. The Equality Act says you’ve been treated less favorably. The penalties differ from one kind of discrimination to another, but in general the maximum civil penalties range from $50,000 for smaller firms to $300,000 for companies with 500 employees or more.
KUDOS (continued)
What are the types of discrimination?
Age, disability, sexual orientation, status, religion, national origin, pregnancy, sexual harassment.
What is the U.S. immigration law?
Immigrants are a dime a dozen. The body of law governing U.S. immigration policy is called the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). The INA allows the U.S. to grant up to 675,000 permanent immigrant visas each year across various visa categories.
What is the American Way?
The American way of life refers to the American Nationalist ethos that adheres to the principle of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. At the center of the American Way is the belief of an American Dream that
