About this ebook

The Middle Age Survivors Guide is a Lovely Short book. It's a collection of ideas and suggestions for understanding the changes our minds and bodies go through as we evolve into middle age and beyond. What should we expect? How do we handle the changes? It's not a medical or health book. It is an easy to read, informational and entertaining guide to aging gracefully. As you read it, there may be times when you actually laugh out loud.

This book is for those of us who may be a little confused about this getting older thing. As soon as you think you have it all figured out, something new pops up.

The ideas in this guide are suggestions only. Please do not take offense if you disagree with them. We all age differently; but we all age, and we all change. I've written what has worked for me and my friends. Some things I've found to be so effective, I've repeated them more than once in various contexts.

So, my dear readers, enjoy this guide and keep it handy. Highlight and dog ear pages of special interest. Add your own notes. Notes are key as we age. You just have to remember to read the notes! Have fun with it. Share with your friends. Enjoy!

    •  THE IDEAS IN THIS guide are suggestions only. Please do not take offense if you disagree with them. We all age differently; but we all age, and we all change. I’ve written what has worked for me and for my friends. Some things I’ve found to be so effective that I’ve repeated them more than once in various contexts.

    •  SO, MY DEAR READERS, enjoy this guide and keep it handy. Highlight, dog ear, and add your own notes to it. Notes are key at this age. You just have to remember to read the notes!

    •  CHAPTER 1 - MOODS, MIND, MEMORY

    •

    •  Middle-age. What is it? It’s puberty in reverse. Remember how confusing puberty was? That was the sudden surge in hormones. This is the sudden decline in hormones. It’s normal, so relax.

    •  YOU MAY NOTICE SIGNIFICANT changes in your body, hair, moods, taste buds, body odor, libido, interests, metabolism and energy level. Knowing what to expect will put you ahead of the game.

    •  YOU MAY HAVE A STRONG DESIRE FOR CHANGE.

    •  YOU KNOW THAT IT may destroy everything that you spent you entire life building, but you want a change. Stop! Don’t make any irrational purchases or changes. This may be a transitional period. Wait until you can think rationally.

    •  BEFORE YOU MOVE, remember, wherever you go, there you are. You can’t run away from yourself. Think about it for a couple of months. If you still feel the need, and you’ve considered its effect on others, then change. You’ve earned it. Go for it; but have a backup plan
