    Imagine an endless ball of energy that is driven by a strong desire to learn. The following describes daily life with a child aged 5 to 7. When they learn new motor skills, their physical world grows. They love to run, jump, and explore their surroundings. Their minds soak up information like sponges as they play and makeup stories. They like routines and order, but they also love free-form play that lets them try new things and learn more.  At this time, social interactions are becoming more and more important. New friendships form, usually because of similar interests or being close by. Peer pressure starts to show up, and kids learn how to get along with others in a group.
