For the amount of money spent to stay at the hotel the hotel is not as up to date as I thought it would be. The pool staff weren’t as friendly and told my mother that my daughter couldn’t use the floaty we brought for her, then told us she also couldn’t get in the hot tube even though she was accompanied by me. Front desk staff were amazing in helping with the pool situation. The staff that cleaned our room were great as well.

Since I am a VIP MEMBER of Expedia, I was expecting to have a room that I paid for. I spent an extra $540 for an ocean-view room, but I didn't have it. which was very disappointing Also, the hotel was not very clean, especially the floor in the rooms and hallways.

Property and hotel rooms were well situated and we had a fantastic partial ocean view room. The hotel amenities were great and we used most of them. Proximity to the beach and a large variety of restaurants was great. The only thing that we didn't really get to take advantage of was the Longboard Club, which was an add-on morning breakfast package, which seemed relatively expensive for what was being offered... so that meant going out and finding breakfast, which wasn't too much of an issue with lots of places to choose from.

We stayed for 5 nights, at check in “Alexandra” was horrible to us. So much so the manager had to tell her to be quiet. They had messed up our rooms, we booked adjoining rooms and even verified the day prior but at check in, they had nothing available. Management did a great job making that happen, we had underaged kids.. There were bugs on all floors of the hotel, small fruit flies everywhere in our hallway (27th floor) and our rooms (we had two rooms) were infested with them. My kids couldn’t even eat in the room because of the bugs. My in-laws stayed on the 20th floor and had the same problem. On our last night there, huge cockroaches were walking around the hallways outside the elevator, again this was on the 27th floor. Will never stay here again. The bell desk staff were amazing and knowledgeable, and the pool staff were also very good. We stayed 12/31-1/5/25 for reference.

Kasa was so helpful, friendly and welcoming during the check in process and allocated me a fabulous room in my favourite part of the property where I can see my favourite body boarding reef. I feel completely safe in the hotel and all the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The staff at Momosan are too and their food is delicious. The hotel is in a great location for all beach activities, walking, shopping and dining. The Go Green housekeeping initiative is a terrific idea. It's impossible not to feel relaxed and happy when staying at the Alohilani. That was my 6th stay and I'll be back for more as long as they maintain their very high standards of customer service. Congratulations to the manager and all the staff for a job well done!

The photo on Expedia advertising the rooms was photoshopped and when I asked about our “ocean view” room at the front desk, they said they couldn’t help me get to a better room because they were full. The bathroom had mold and peeling paint. We will never stay here again. A total waste of money.

I had bed bugs at my stay and it took the property five days to do something about it. They refused to was my clothes and never came by my new room for service. The new room ended up being just as bad with mold and I broke my toe nail on a broken base board. They never offered any refund for my horrible time

We had a wonderful time at the Alohilani. We stayed during the holidays (Christmas and New Years) and even though this was a very busy time we did not experience long lines or waits. We found the service in all areas of the hotel to be impeccable. We greatly enjoyed the hotel’s ambiance and activities. We are already planning our next trip.

If I had to say anything bad is that it was hard for us to enjoy the hot tub because there were so many kids in it and were jumping in and out.

The parking is $42 a day and if you need a microwave in your room it is $10 a day. The staff was friendly and acomodating and there is plenty to do in walking distance.
