Nice room but stay away from the restaurant
"Nice and comfy room, the bathroom could use re-decorating soon but still comfortable. The hotel restaurant is terrible, breakfast was just about acceptable but I wish I'd gone for dinner somewhere else. There are plenty of other choices in the Metro centre."

Lovely
"Lovely hotel - staff were so friendly and helpful and always greeted me with a smile. The room was very comfortable and we had a great view of the river. Couple of minor niggles, the room service tray wasn’t collected for quite a while and I did have to ask for it to be removed. The heating is way ..."

Although this hotel is technically in Gateshead, it is right on the tyne river side, a 2 min walk over the millennium bridge and you are in newcastle city centre.

Spent time looking at The Angel of the North. The history surrounding the monument was very facinating. Also the public have nominated small trees in the vicinity as memorials to family members who have passed away. Felt this was poignant and moving.
