"Excellent vacation. Hotel staff was engaging and welcoming. The manager Carolina was extremely helpful. They helped arrange pickup from the airport and an upgrade for a room facing the river. 2 beautiful pools. And a talented bartender, Jesus. Room serviced daily by the friendly Nora. However, the entire staff were kind and pleasant. Quiet location on the river away from the city noise. Close to all the true local Mexican restaurants. We will definitely be staying here again. "

"Normally I don't bother writing reviews, but my stay at Casa Lidia was so pleasant I thought it deserved to be known. The ambience was very calm and pleasant, with a patio as pictured. The breakfast room, food and staff were all very nice. The location was easily within walking distance of most anywhere of interest. I would return to that hotel without looking at alternatives, upon re-visiting Oaxaca. "

"This hotel is set in an old building but its quaint and well maintained. 24 hour front desk. Secure, included parking less than a block away. Within easy walking distance of the cathedral and all the restaurants and shops in Centro. The room was basic but clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of choices on the TV, except CNN which would be nice for English speaking guests. It's available but not subscribed to. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel for its convenience and besides some road traffic...
