"Stayed for the Euros as close to Cologne. Very simple hotel but everything works. WiFi was ok. They did forget to clean our room but the staff were good and gave us a free breakfast. Would recommend only staying for a night or 2. "

"It's a colourful hotel, situated by the river, only about a 10 minutes walk from the city center. We had a generally pleasant stay, we were even able to watch the Euro 24 final on the rooftop bar. We stayed in room 135 on the ground floor with a view towards a back street so not memorable. The room was clean and spatious. The only problem was that the A/C wasn't strong enough, even on the lowest setting the room never got properly cool which made it hard to sleep at times. Also a mini fridge...

"For the price we paid the hotel is excellent value, the staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are basic bit more importantly clean and all you need for a long weekend stay. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options. We booked as its close to phantasialand, and would recommend it to anyone planning on a trip there. "

"If you crave perfection...this is not your hotel. This is an older hotel in a spectacular location!! We rented a family suite. It had two bedrooms and a living room and slept 4 adults VERY comfortably. It is not a luxury hotel but it was clean and every request me made was met with cheerful compliance. My only complaint is that the shower is very small...think cruise ship small. It is a 1k walk to the train station to Cologne. "
