Meghan Markle's net worth 'could soar by £80m' after huge new move
EXCLUSIVE: Meghan Markle is expected to make millions through lucrative brand deals, following her return to social media after five years.
Meghan Markle's net worth could soar by millions due to her new Instagram page, a social media expert has claimed.
Prince Harry's wife made an unexpected return to the platform on New Year's Day following a five-year hiatus, and has so far gained 752,000 followers.
In her first and only post so far, the 43-year-old shared a video of herself running towards the sea on a beach, ahead of drawing '2025' in the sand with her finger.
For her profile picture, she opted for a black and white snap of her smiling, alongside the simple bio: "Meghan, Duchess of Sussex."
As her followers continue to mount up, Tom South, Director of Organic & Web (Marketing) at Epos Now shared how Meghan's earnings are likely to sky rocket in no time at all.
He shared: "Considering her celebrity status, global influence, and personal branding as a modern royal turned advocate for social causes, she can definitely mint a lot of money.
"Her potential Instagram valuation could already exceed $10million (£8m) based on her current follower count of 752k, the rapid rate of follower growth, and her ability to attract luxury, lifestyle, and philanthropic brands.
"If her follower count surpasses the 10 million mark(which is likely in future given her visibility and media traction), her account's worth would easily climb into the $50–$100 million range (£40m-£80m).

"This includes revenue potential from sponsored posts, exclusive partnerships, and even brand collaborations with purpose-driven campaigns."
Tom believes with Meghan's current following, she could command between $100,000 (£80k) to $250,000 (£200k) for just one post, which could soon increase to $1million (£805k) or more.
Additionally, the expert suggests that with the Duchess of Sussex's ability to seamlessly mix luxury with advocacy, she could take "influencing" to a whole new level, with a platform for both profit and purpose.
"Her return signals the possibility of being a hybrid influencer—someone who can merge influence with impact," he added.
"Unlike traditional influencers, she can move entire conversations around social justice, mental health, and gender equity, making her more of a culture shaper than a product promoter."
The Sussexes are thought to have a combined fortune of £48-60million.
Since stepping down from their senior royal duties and residing to America in 2020, they have taken on a number of projects both together and respectively.
As part of their joint venture, they fronted their own Netflix series documenting their lives as royals and what happened after they stepped away.
More recently, Meghan has been working on launching her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, as well as a new Netflix show based on "the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship", Deadline reports.
