Gun-wielding man in full-body wolf costume arrested for armed robbery of a bank
Xavier Michael Babudar was arrested by police in Oklahoma while carrying a weapon and a large sum of money.
An NFL superfan, who goes by the name ChiefsAholic online, allegedly wore a full-body wolf costume while travelling to Houston to watch his team play the Texans. Before he got there, he made a stop off on the way to rob a bank, according to police records.
Mr Babudar's account, ChiefsAholic, has 36.6thousand followers and claims to be a "rabid die hard" fan of the American football team, Kansas City Chiefs.
His online fans discovered his arrest after becoming concerned when the usually active Mr Babudar had gone silent on his Twitter account during Kansas City’s overtime win against Houston on Sunday.
His Twitter followers became worried something had happened to the superfan and set about trying to find out if he was okay during his absence from the platform.
Mr Babudar had told his followers that he would be attending the game, which was held in Houston on Sunday.
After some investigation, the web sleuths discovered his account had been silent because he had been arrested for armed robbery of a bank.
On Friday morning, Xavier, armed with a gun, is believed to have robbed the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union in Bixby, Oklahoma, while on his way to the match.
The city is halfway between Kansas City, Missouri, and Houston, Texas.
Police were called to the bank to respond to the armed robbery and arrested the NFL fan on Friday, according to Tulsa County Jail records.

An eyewitness gave police a description of Mr Babudar and he was arrested with a weapon and a large amount of cash, according to 2News Oklahoma.
No one was injured in the incident.
ChiefAholic's fans made the unlikely discovery when searching the prison's inmate records and found information about the arrest.
One fan shared an image of Babudar's inmate record, which included his arrest along with a list of other offences which they say he committed.

Other offences, according to the record. include suspicion of theft in 2014, as well as a separate misdemeanour of theft in 2016.
As of Wednesday morning, Mr Babudar's account is still silent presumably because of the arrest.
He is being held on a $200,000 bond.
