THE TED BUNDY TAPES took over Netflix last week as it began depicting the story of notorious serial-killer Ted Bundy, but the streaming service has now issued a warning.
'Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes' chilling trailer
Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes arrived on Netflix last week and details the brutal reality of the killer’s life.
The show delves in to the cases surrounding Bundy’s murders and how he almost got away with many of them.
It also includes a number of tapes which showcase never-before-seen interviews with the serial-killer.
Some of the things that set Bundy apart from other killers in history are his infamous good looks and charisma.
And this has prompted a number of viewers to speak out and confess they too, find him attractive.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: “@NetflixUK Netflix you’ve done it again. #TheTedbundytapes already got me gripped, I’m all over this handsome intelligent murdering mad man.”
Another agreed: “I’ve also decided that the main takeaway from #TheTedBundyTapes is to not trust or date men who are charming and handsome.”
However this has since prompted the Twitter account for Netflix US to speak out with a warning.
They wrote: “I've seen a lot of talk about Ted Bundy’s alleged hotness and would like to gently remind everyone that there are literally THOUSANDS of hot men on the service — almost all of whom are not convicted serial murderers.”
But Netflix were instantly hit back with a number of defiant tweets confirming the killer’s attractiveness.
One simply replied: “But he’s hot though.”
While another added: “I know he’s a serial killer, but he’s kind of hot, no? #Netflix #tedbundytapes.”
However a lot of viewers disagreed, saying: “Anyone attracted to Ted Bundy needs to go for a walk outside.”
This isn’t the first warning Netflix has issued about the Ted Bundy Tapes.
Just as the show was released Netflix posted on Twitter: “Don't watch "Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes" alone. Trust me on this one.”
The warning seemed to fall on deaf ears, however, as viewers jumped in to the show headfirst.
Bundy was executed via electric chair on January 24, 1989 at Floria State Prison.
John Wilson, a journalist who attended the execution, said: “I don’t remember any moment like this in my life.
"This was a serial killer in front of you unlike any we’ve known in our time... He was confident.
“His demeanour [sic] was puzzling to all of us and I’m sure what was going through everybody's head in there was, 'Why is he smiling at us?'”
Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes is available to watch on Netflix now.
