GB News presenter halts show to share major breaking news announcement

GB News was halted this morning as breakfast show presenters Anne Diamond and Stephen Dixon shared a worrying breaking news announcement. The pair appeared speechless as the news channel aired scenes that were live from Gaza.
Describing what was happening on screen, Anne said: "There's a big explosion," as thick smoke filled the air on the live broadcast. She added: "It seems to just have happened."
Stephen welcomed defence editor at the Evening Standard, Robert Fox, to the show as the three of them watched the stream in awe. The host noted: "Quite where in Gaza that is, I don't know, but is this a sign that Israel has lost patience?"
Robert replied: "Yes, I think so. I think we're on pause for today..." Anne interrupted saying: "But that's not pause, is it?"
The show guest continued: "We don't know who did it, where and when. It might just be ordinance being blown up by either side. Let's wait on that one."
Looking at the worrying footage on screen, Anne said: "This, I mean, watching that, we don't know what it is. Whether it's a strike by Israel, we don't know.
"But it certainly signifies the fact that we've gone back to war. The hope of ceasefire has suddenly been overturned."
Robert agreed saying: "There was real hope that this thing could be brought to some kind of conclusion, but we are back to square one again. That is the real fear."
It comes as the IDF (Israeli Defence Force) confirms it is carrying out strikes on "terror targets" in northern and central Gaza. According to Palestinain Civil Emergency Service, at least eight Palestinians have been killed and 25 injured in the latest strikes.

The ceasefire deal is hanging by a thread after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu demanded that Hamas name the first hostages that will be freed.
His office said on Sunday: “The prime minister instructed the IDF that the ceasefire, which is supposed to go into effect at 8:30am, will not begin until Israel has the list of released abductees that Hamas has pledged to provide."
Hamas responded to the statement, claiming that the group is still committed to the ceasefire and the delay in handing over a list of names was due to “technical field reasons".
