Virginia Hurricanes Basketball is offering a Friday night youth basketball training program in January and February 2025 for girls and boys in grades K through 5.

AGENDA: Players will have a fun-filled experience working on individual basketball skills and learning the rules and concepts of the game. Sessions will consist of a 30 minute skills session followed by 30 minutes of control


Led by Marymount University Flag Football coaches and players, participants will be introduced to the same mechanics and drills used with our collegiate athletes. Our coaches will share their passion for the sport of flag football in a supportive atmosphere with students of all ages and ability levels.

The camp will offer separate boys and girls divisions. Girls will have the option of playing in the boys or girls division.

Spring will arrive and creativity will thrive! Check out Art House 7’s Spring Break Workshops for grades k-5, April 14-17. This is a great opportunity for your child to take a three-hour arts and crafts class during the school break. You can sign up for one workshop day or all four. Themes include Japanese lanterns, jewelry making, and paper flowers. Each workshop is limited to 10 students. $80/day.

In response to numerous requests, our local women’s therapy practice is offering “Parent Loss in Young Adulthood” again in early 2025.

Designed by Jane Lowery, M.A., Resident in Counseling, our group helps adults in their 20’s and 30’s who have lost a parent 1) understand the grief process, 2) reduce guilt & anxiety, 3) develop their grief community and 4) find more grief resources.
