The base figure is a Maya figure from the Tenjho Tenge anime with some combat boots from an unknown figure. The hair, coat, and sword are from the Play Arts Sephiroth figure. The hands are from another anime figure I had laying around and the arms are actually a FF7 movie Cloud's with sculpty used to bulk up the sleeves. I had to cut the hair and modify it to fit better. This figure's posed some challenges and given more time I'd have found better ways to deal with them but I'm extremely happy with the way she turned out. One unexpected issue was the base figure, I had to cut the arms off to modify them and for some reason there was liquid inside that was a skin irritant and then I found that the figure was actually clear with a frosted coating on it to look extremely pale like in the anime. Sadly once scratched off it is impossible to replicate. The blue that can be seen under her black top is a thin armored bra that fits under her normal top and also feeds medicines to fight her stigma. The discolorations on her body are a form of geo stigma (see FF7: Advent Children) that this Sephiroth suffers from. The figure is painted with gaming workshop paints and where I had to fill gaps in her hair I actually found a cheap craft store paint that blends in fairly well. The base if from some Sega female game character I got at a con in April. I spent about 2 months on this thing working nearly every day so I hope someone likes her. I can't say that I am 100% happy with her, this was a lot of trial and error and many things I could have done differently but She will be going on my shelf after perhaps some reworking. This Sephiroth is very much like her male counter part but she isn't as reserved, prone to taking risks and living fast, and she uses her sexuality as a tool and weapon as much as her blade. Her downfall from being the best of Soldier came when her flesh began to fall away first as a rash then as black masses spreading on her body and the dark ichor (yes that's a word) could begin to be seen moving through her veins. In order to find out what was wrong with her she broke into the Shinra archives and began to learn about the Ancients and Jenova. At first she thought the Citra dna withing Aeris could cure her but soon learned that the geo stigma as Hojo calls it comes from a missing gene that didn't pass from the Jenova samples into her body when she was created. This gene did pass in various diluted and mutated forms into Genesis and Angele. Curiosity gives way to rage and fear as she begins to be effected by the stigma on a cellular level and even swears she can hear it speaking to her, calling her to find her mother...her real mother, Jenova, no matter the cost. It is at this point that the two FF7 worlds begin to resemble one another a bit more and it leads to the same results of Sephiroth falling to Cloud's Omni slash within the life stream and the spread of geo-stigma to humans thanks to Sephiroth's DNA and mutation spurred by the life stream energy itself. |
